on bookkeeping.we sat in the thick  fellsway traffic  talking about a painting   
at the MFA   
when i suddenly became  modern art's public defender.   
i dodged my scion out of holes  and into others,                           (i thought it                                        &nbs on bookkeeping.

the sprawling scrawl noted that  'these belong to you  more than they belong  to us'.   
i thought that fucking criminal  and his wife couldn't have meant that.   
then again, i had long since gained my immunity  to malignancy i never knew existed,

     "The stock market's down again..."       "We really took a hit today; worse than yesterday."   
they sipped their recession champagne,  noting its flatness,  a direct function of its bitter age.   
               "Did anything good happen? You only talk"                 "of bad things nowadays."

purgatory roadi drove to the top of the hill,  where the founders of mont vernon,  new hampshire,  decided to conveniently place their town center.   
the old buildings and houses looked worn, but untouched,  like antique newspapers or wax statues  brushed with a sheen of dust.   
as i drove out of the town center,  the buildings blurring by me like rushed watercolors,   
a sign, editorial black-and-white,  with serifed font standing stoically  like patient sinner-saints aligned in somewhat pews  awaiting that Sermon,   
told me to 'enjoy the view'.

Hey there folks,

Just an update to the journal to say that, yes, I am back and writing again, finally. It has been a while, and I felt boxed in without the chance to sit down and get back to some writing.

I decided to put my name into the hat for the Epic Contest at PoetryPlease. I'm working on a book about education in the United States, and since things are settling down at school, I feel like this is a good time to put some afterburners on. Maybe this is just what writing lesson plan after lesson plan does to me. We'll see.

I am looking for some good, straightforward critique, not just on the new stuff, but on just about anything in my gallery. I miss those of you who have been my readers in the past, so please feel free to come around. :)

hello my dear. Feeling coaty today? :D We miss you in Showgirls!! It's soooo boring right now. no one is talking. I have like, all four of my account names logged in to boost the numbers. XD We'd have more if =RedBigTex would get off his lazy idling ass and put HIS names in too... :sigh: oh well.
